INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

LNLVIP BELIEVES

Education for visually impaired persons is key and is a tool to eradicate poverty and social exclusion. LNLVIP therefore supports inclusive education to ensures that visually impaired acquire education on equal basis with their sighted counterparts. With the support of Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted LNLVIP runs an inclusive education project designed to ensure increased enrolment of visually impaired learners in targeted schools in the country. The project also involves preparing teachers (through trainings) to teach visually impaired persons and to implement equitable learning in both primary and high schools. 5 schools and 3 pre-schools have been identified, which will work as model schools for inclusion of visually impaired persons. The project will also ensure that visually impaired persons are included in all sport and recreation activities.
